If you’re not satisfied with your virtual CD software and you are looking for something really powerful, it’s probably the time to move forward towards the paid version of Daemon Tools.
As compared to the freeware flavor of the application, Daemon Tools Pro comes with almost everything you’ll ever need when it comes to emulation, including even the possibility to emulate HD DVD and Blu-ray drives.
Installing this app is just as easy as installing the freeware version, so you shouldn’t encounter any problem with it. It’s still worth mentioning that you’ll have to reboot your computer when the setup ends, so be sure to save your work before double-clicking the installer.
The interface is similar to the one of the freeware version, only that it comes with many more functions, so it has some extra goodies. Beside the things we’ve already mentioned before, Daemon Tools Pro also supports a wider variety of formats and includes the ability to create up to 32 virtual drives which is… OK, wow!
Just as expected, Daemon Tools Pro works on every Windows iteration out there, including Windows 7, both 32 and 64 bit, which means it can run on every single machine in the world.
As always, the amount of resources it needs is surprisingly low, in spite of the advanced features it offers to its customers.
And because we’re talking about customers, yes, you have to pay for using the app after the 20-day trial. We’re not really sure who’d pay 25 euros for such a software since there are so many freeware alternatives, but if you think that Daemon Tools would really be useful, go ahead and give it a ride.
