Process Lasso Server is an application especially designed to help you manage active process on your system and prevent system stalls.
Process Lasso Server is a great companion to Windows based servers. It can help to maintain server responsiveness during high CPU loads, manage and control running processes, and automate numerous process settings or conditions.
The core engine, processgovernor.exe, runs silently in the background, and can be installed as a system service. The GUI can be launched when configuration changes are desired, or one would like to monitor the log.
The ProBalance algorithm works particularly well on servers. Windows Servers are tuned to be more fair to all running processes than are workstations, which are tuned to give an increased priority to processes in the foreground.
The result is that the a foreground process can easily experience lags, stalls, or freezes during high CPU loads. With ProBalance at work, processes that are greedy with the CPU have their priorities temporarily lowered, helping to prevent degradation of server responsiveness while interacting with the user.
