CrystalCPUID is a software that lets you view detailed information about your computer's hardware.
For example, if you're a hardcore gamer, you'd probably be interested in finding out how much strain you regularly put on your computer.
This tool doesn't require any installation, so that makes it portable. Your Windows registry entries will not be affected, but you can also place CrystalCPUID on an external device and run it on any computer.
The user interface of the program is standard. However, since CrystalCPUID contains technical details about the system, novices wouldn't probably understand too much. And there's also the risk of causing system failure if an inexperienced user would attempt to make any changes.
So, you can view data about the CPU name, code name, platform, vendor and name string, CPU type, physical core, family, model, internal and system clock, system bus, multiplier, over clock, memory and cache. Plus, you can modify the multiplier and voltage on systems that have AMD K7/K8 processors.
In addition, you can save information as an image (BMP, PNG) or Text, refresh data, view "Feature Flags", "Real Time Clock" and additional information on CPUID, Cache, BIOS, system, chipset and PCI device, as well as edit MSR, access the program's INI file, and more.
Furthermore, you can customize the program's appearance by changing the font, background (you can even select an image), "Real Time Clock" color, task tray icon etc.
The software uses a very small amount of system resources, has a ReadMe file and didn't freeze or crash during our tests. We recommend CrystalCPUID to power users.
