Auto Shutdown PC is an app that lets you automatically perform actions at a scheduled time.
As compared to other similar programs, Auto Shutdown PC may seem a bit more difficult to use at the first glance, but that's only because of its professional approach.
The main window of the program is actually an action manager that shows all scheduled tasks, along with title, shutdown event, activation time and frequency.
But scheduling a new task is actually a lot easier because the program asks you to input a title, pick a time and adjust frequency. You can choose between log off, power off, reboot, shut down, hibernate and suspend, with dedicated “force” options to automatically close the apps that may block the action.
What's more, you can set up so-called “conditions” that could start the task only when CPU is idle or busy.
Last but not least, you can set up the program to launch an application just before performing the task, while count downs and audio alarms are also available.
A very good thing about Auto Shutdown PC is that it doesn't hamper system performance and works like a charm on all Windows versions, without the need for administrator privileges on Windows 7 workstations.
All things considered, Auto Shutdown PC is indeed a very effective piece of software, offering a more than decent package that includes a professional interface and easy to use tools.
