Photo books and personalized calendars are extremely easy to create if you don’t mind spending a few minutes in front of the computer. 5DFly Photo Design is a program created to help you put together all types of projects.
The app has a clean interface that is very easy to work with. Additionally, a video tutorial is available if you require help through the entire process.
New projects can be created from scratch or you can use one of the available templates. These are placed under various categories. For instance, you can pick one from “Baby & Kids”, “Baby Birth Announcement”, “Birthday Greeting Card”, “Calendar”, “Wedding Templates” and “Wedding Anniversary”, as well as some dedicated to various holidays, such as Halloween, Mother’s Day, Thanksgiving, Easter, Father’s day, Christmas and New Year.
Each template includes a varied number of photo frames. In order to lighten up the initial download, the app doesn’t come with any pre-installed themes, so they need to be downloaded separately.
Depending on the selected design, a certain number of pictures must be added in order to get the best effects. The program automatically distributes all the photos and arranges them to fit the template.
However, you can further customize each frame. For instance, you can crop the image, fiddle with the brightness, contrast and color levels, set the transparency values, remove red-eye and apply an effect (Blur, Emboss, Relief, Oil painting, Noise, Jitter and Mosaic). Text messages may also be added, while those already present on the template can be edited.
The projects can be saved to several file formats, such as JPG, PDF, AVI or PPT.
The bottom line is that 5DFly Photo Design is a nice program that gives you plenty of room to customize your work. Inexperienced users should be able to easily figure out how to work with this app, thanks to the intuitive interface.
