TMPGEnc KARMA..Plus is a digital video library viewing and management application.
You can simply and rapidly categorize your video files just by a drag 'n drop. In addition to the main preview window, 3 other sub-views are also available allowing the playback of several videos at a time, or for conveniently finding a particular scene quickly.
 
A video can be transferred to a different playback window from any of the sub-views and, when used on a dual monitor system, provides an orderly environment for viewing and management where one monitor displays the library catalog and the other plays back the selected content in full screen.

3 Quick previews:
· TMPGEnc KARMA..Plus provides 3 Quick previews allowing you to simultaneously playback several video files or conveniently find a particular scene quickly. You control the playback start/stop just by clicking on the video file thumbnail. The Quick previews also allow you to view the video file properties or choose the picture for the video file thumbnail.
Player window (separate playback window):
· Plays back the video file in a separate window. Can play one video file at a time ("Single" player mode) or two video files ("Multi" player mode). In Single player mode you can set Chapters for the video file. In Multi player mode you can not only play each video separately, but also play them simultaneously. Using this option you can, for example, compare different encoding settings or view the same scene recorded by several cameras. Furtheremore, with the "Overlay" mode, you can playback the videos stacked one on top of the other.
KARMA..Clear filter:
· When low resolution videos are enlarged to the window size and played, the picture resolution quality is often degraded. In such cases, enable the KARMA..Clear filter to improve the overall picture resolution quality, providing a crisp picture.
Full screen playback:
· Full screen playback can be used both in Single and Multi player mode. Since the Drag motion function is also enabled, you can command the video file's forward/backward playback just by dragging the mouse instead of clicking on buttons. Also, if you have a secondary monitor or a video projector plugged-in, you can choose them as an alternate full screen display.
Story thumbnail:
· Just place the mouse pointer over a thumbnail in the library, and not one but several thumbnails taken at regular intervals from the video file appear one after the other. This very convenient function lets you verify the video file's content without having to play it back.
CUDA technology support:
· TMPGEnc KARMA..Plus supports NVIDIA CUDA technology for the filter processing, decoding and also the H.264/AVC file output. Detailed options are available in the output settings, and iPod/PSP presets are also present, allowing you to create files for those devices without being lost in tons of technical choices.
Resume function:
· Having to stop video file playback, view another video, then returning to the scene of the first video can be a tedious task. TMPGEnc KARMA..Plus embeds a Resume function allowing you to re-start a video file's playback from the point you left it.
Color labels:
· Simply and efficiently categorize or set a reminder for your video files in one click by attaching a color label to them. You can set your own color.
TMPGEnc TileShot CREATOR:
· The TMPGEnc TileShot CREATOR allows you to create a digital contact sheet from a selected video file for your archives, website, etc. Using this tool, you can create an animated picture which is useful if you don’t know how to make it on your own, or if your server does not allow it. Of course, you can also use this tool to extract only one picture of a video file.
Preview window drag motion:
· The Player window and the full screen mode window offer a drag control function. Preview the next or previous file just by clicking and dragging the mouse cursor on the playback area.
Library preview enhancement:
· You can change the library preview display type. The display speed and scrolling speed priority can be changed to best fit the user environment. Furthermore, you can enable or disable the display of the alternate row color or file information, or choose from the video file which thumbnail picture will be displayed in the library view.

Limitations:
· The trial period will expire after 14 days and will not be able to use the software.
· There is a 10 second delay at the startup screen.
· The start screen will be displayed each time you start the program.
· Any output files will contain a TMPGEnc KARMA.. Plus watermark.

· WebM file playback support.
· MKV (H.264) file importation support. *MKV file importation is limited to video/audio stream readable through the MPEG file reader.
· In addition to FLV 1/4, supports FLV container multiplexed H.264 video.
· Dolby Digital Plus audio stream decoding support. *Audio file only importation not supported.
· Improved CUDA encoder settings for device-related outputs, affected devices are as below.
· In the file out put setting, the iPod maximum is now limited to 2500 kb/s;
· In the file out put setting, the PSP/iPod framerate cannot be set to 25 fps anymore.
· During a CUDA encoding, noise would appear on the right border of the picture upon applying the deinterlace process when the picture width was not a multiple of 4.
· An error would arise when cancelling the CUDA encode process just after starting it.
