DXVA Checker is a tiny and portable tool that supplies users with important information on your computer's GPU. It can be easily used.
Since installation is not a prerequisite, you can simply save the executable file anywhere on the hard drive and run it immediately,
Alternatively, you can store DXVA Checker on a USB flash drive or similar storage unit, and run it on any computer. This way, you can keep the app in your pocket whenever you're on the move.
What should be mentioned is that Windows Registry does not receive entry updates, and files are not left behind on the hard drive after program removal.
The UI of the tool is made from a regular window with a simple layout, where you can navigate tabs to get information on the decoder and processor devices, DXVA-HD and trace log (event, process name, time). From the Options panel, you can disable any event from the list.
In addition, you can take a screenshot and save it to an image file with the PNG format, recheck the device, as well as set DXVA Checker to automatically notify you of program updates. Unfortunately, there are no other options available through the tool. For instance, you can minimize DXVA Checker to the system tray area or make it automatically run at system startup.
The application barely uses CPU and system memory, hence it doesn't burden the computer's performance. Its response time is good and there are no stability issues. We have not encountered any problems throughout our evaluation, since the utility did not hang, crash or pop up error dialogs. All in all, DXVA Checker delivers accurate information regarding the decoder and processor devices that can be used with the GPU.
