Thaiphoon Burner is the first known software that provides the easiest way to edit and flash SPD of RAM in Windows without using any additional hardware components! The second version supports 8 new Intel ICH7 series peripheral controllers, nVidia nForce 3 250GB and MCP55 controllers. In addition, Thaiphoon features an enhanced HEX Editor that enables to move the cursor by arrow keypad.
Thaiphoon Burner is designed for those who are in need of getting all available information from SPD about memory modules. It enables you to reprogram SPD directly or in the special emulation mode. Thaiphoon Burner can load external SPD dumps and flash them into current EEPROM. Thaiphoon creates a highly detailed report that can be saved after in a separate file.
Thaiphoon Burner supports for 25 Intel ICHx southbridges and 7 VIA southbridges: VT8231, VT82C686, VT8235, VT8233A/Ñ, VT8237/A. It fully compatible with all nVIDIA controllers. Besides, Thaiphoon knows about 635 unique manufacturer IDs of the JEDEC specification. Also, Thaif makes a search for any devices linked to the System Management Bus.
Using Thaiphoon Burner and appropriate technical documentation you can program any part of hardware that is visible as a SMB-device; for example, clock synthesizers, hardware monitoring sensors, SPD, etc. Besides, the latest version is fully compatible with DDR-II SPD data interpretation.

HEX Editor:
· In conjunction with the Summary Information Panel provides an ability to easily modify data registers of SPD EEPROM device.

Micron's SPD Lookup:
· Implemented in the latest SPD Browser 3.0 to search for the most current SPD data in the module part catalogue on the Micron Technology web site.
SM Base Address Prober:
· Applies brute-force attack to search for the SM Base Address by using a classic SMBus communication protocol compatible with ATI/VIA/Intel chipsets.
Write Protection Mode:
· Prevents SPD data from being written accidentally or when editing the data in Hex Editor. Enables to create a new or modify existed SPD image.
SMBus Slaves Searcher:
· Using the native SMB protocol this feature enables to find software visible SMBus devices of any type linked to the System Management Bus.
Text Dump Import Function:
· Imports register dumps of SPD EEPROM devices from text file reports created by third party diagnostic related tools.
The largest SPD Database:

What's New in This Release:
· The latest update brings support for SMBus controllers of the old AMD Southbridges, such as AMD-756, AMD-766, AMD-768 and AMD-8111. Thanks to this new feature Thaiphoon Burner is capable of reading and writing SPD content of EEPROM chips. Besides, the new update performs additional initialization of SMBus controllers of old Intel I/O Hubs to access SPD EEPROM. This may grant access to the SPD content when the SMBus controller is disabled by OEMs. The additional initialization is applied to all various parts of Intel ICHs up to ICH5 inclusive. DDR2 Timing Table Editor has been extended and provides the easiest way to edit six additional timings of tIS, tIH, tDS, tDH, tDQSQ and tQHS.
