There are many burning programs out there, but only a few of them can fulfill the wishes of a user. It's not that complicated. When we want something done, we want it to be simple and without hassle.
One burning tool that has caught our attention is CDRWIN. It is very small, simple to use, attractive, and does its job fast.
Installing it is a breeze, and the user interface is devilishly appealing (pun intended).
In the main menu you can access six options - copy a disc, create a data disc or an audio disc, record a video, configure settings, and access tools.
Besides copying a CD or DVD, you can also burn ISO, CUE, BIN, or XMD files as images, as well as create a data CD, DVD or Blu-ray.
Audio options include ripping, creating or copying an audio CD, while it is also possible to record a VIDEO_TS folder to DVD.
In Settings you can configure the default path for images, file system, ISO level, CD-writing data mode, and others.
The Tools section grants you access to erase a disc (either fast or full), finalize a disc, read disc information, or only specific sectors of it.
We like the fact that although the interface is very simple, the developers have put an emphasis on graphics, by creating small animation effects (e.g. when you select an option).
Memory resources are considerably consumed, but other burning tools use more. We haven't come across any glitches or errors, and copying or burning is done very fast.
Our conclusion? If you're looking for a light burning software that will not clutter you or your computer, CDRWIN might just do the trick.
