BD Rebuilder is a comprehensive software solution that aims to assist you in creating compressed backups for your DVDs and Blu-Ray discs, without affecting the video quality of the output. The application can be used for creating DVD-5, DVD-9, BD-25 and even discs with a custom target size.
One advantage of this application is that it does not require a third-party authoring tool, since its engine does all the work, reconstructing the DVD to match its original structure.
Designed with simplicity in mind, the application features a simple and intuitive interface that offers fast access to all the options and tools. The main window enables you to select the source drive and the target location, while also providing an organized, structured view of the DVD or disc content. It displays the audio and video files, the list of available subtitles and so on.
BD Rebuilder offers you the possibility to create either a full backup (the output is an exact copy of the original disc), a quick-play backup or a movie-only backup. The time duration depends entirely on your choice.
You can select the audio and the subtitle languages you want to keep and customize the encoding options as you feel fit. The video can be resized, converted to HD, deinterlaced and the view mode can be changed. Additionally, you can set the application to preserve the HD audio settings and instruct it not to reencode AC3 or convert DTS to AC3 for Blu-Ray discs.
Optionally, the program can use AVS filtes during encoding, LAV filters for decoding and NeroAACenc for AAC encoding. It can assume PAL for the DVD output and notify you when the job is finished.
Batch processing, shut down scheduling, project saving and task prioritization adds even more value to BD Rebuilder. It combines ease of use with advanced encoding configuration options in order to create an intuitive, yet powerful tool for backing up DVDs and shrinking Blu-Ray discs.
What's New in This Release:
· Added code in movie-only mode that extractsforced subtitles into an independent stream and sets them to "selected" for playback.
· Added a new hidden option "FORCED_SUB_LANG" that allows a user to select which language is preferred for forced subs. The default is "eng" -- and it will be also be used whenno forced subtitle is found in the preferred language.
· Added routine to hard-encode forced subtitles into non-DVD ALTERNATE output. It can also include any subtitle that is selected to be forced from the STREAMS list. Note: This capability requires the installation of the free external AVISYNTH filter SUPTITLE() and its selection in the SETUP dialog. While the SUPTITLE filter is free, it cannot be freely distributed, so you must download it and properly install it from this link: http://www.zachsaw.com/?pg=suptitle_pgs_avisynth_plugin
