Autorun Action Splash is an application that will allow users to easily create a Windows application from a splash they designed. You can use your splash to launch documents and start applications, as well as open folders, go to Internet sites, send emails, and more! Your application does not need to be installed to run on other people's systems.
Autorun Action Splash offers the ability for anyone to swiftly create Autorun splash screens for CDs. After inserting the CD into the drive, Autorun Action Splash will display your splash image or animation while launching your command (usually to open your content on the disc). Autorun Action Splash supports animations; sound effects for splash events; commandline arguments; viewer installation splashs and more.
Once you have created your splash you can create your autorun EXE, a standard Windows application, that will launch when your disc is inserted into the CD drive.
Getting Started
The Autorun Action Splash Wizard allows you to create and edit your splash as well as then create your splash Autorun application. The Wizard will take you through the creation process step by step. Depending on your choices, as you progress through the wizard some stages will be skipped while others will be shown.
Creating Your Splash
Getting your splash up and running is easy with the Autorun Action Splash Wizard. With the Wizard you can set the image or images to use in your splash, as well as optionally create an animation based on your own image. You can also set your command, any optional viewers and other settings.
Editing Your Splash
You can edit your splash settings by opening the Autorun Action Splash Wizard and clicking "Open an existing splash...". Note that if you chose to create an animation from your splash image, the created animation frames will be shown instead of the Animation Creation wizard step. If you wish to recreate your splash animation you must reopen your original splash image as frame 1 and delete any previously created animation frames.
Creating Your Autorun Application
The final step is to turn your splash into a Windows application. To do this first save your splash and then click Create Autorun EXE at the end of the Autorun Action Splash Wizard (Step 14). This will create two files, your splash application and a file named AUTORUN.INF. Copy both of these files to the base of your disc (such that they are not contained in any folders) and your done!
