Nero remains the most popular name in the CD/DVD burning software market, but there are a lot of other tools out there, be them freeware or shareware, that dream about the leading position.
Express Burn is one of the best examples, as this particular application has been developed as a Nero replacement from the ground-up.
The application can be installed in a minute, and beside the fact that you’re prompted to install some additional and unnecessary software, there’s nothing too difficult during the setup process.
The interface is very clean and easy to use, and all the features are nicely organized in the main window, so that you can instantly choose which type of CD or DVD you wish to create.
Once again, Express Burn is the kind of tool that can do basically everything with an empty disc, so you can easily create audio or data CDs, video or data DVDs, burn or create images or copy discs on the go.
Of course, the burning process goes very smooth, just like it happens with most of the other burning solutions on the market, so we had absolutely no problem during our test.
All things considered, Express Burn is an excellent burning solution, but paying that much for an application that does the same thing as some other freeware tools might scare some of the users.
