Sense for rich-text document editing within GUI Plugin extensible multi-paned Edit Environments.
The default Edit Environment includes Outline, Scratchpad and ViewPoint panes with tree-views for structural editing and navigation.
ViewPoints are clones of document material singled out and categorized (ViewPointed) into an uncluttered workspace for focused editing. Changes are synchronized back to the main document.
Multi-level lists including headed sections may be expanded and collapsed retaining close synchronism between structural tree and detail edit panes.
Material may be readily moved up, down and between levels.
Supports hyperlinking between both documents and web including in-line image links.
Multilingual editing with Edit Environments separately configurable.
Whole and part document merging with style normalisation to the recipient document.
Styling is hierarchical and flexible with initial document and line styles inherited from the top level Editor Style.
Every Sense Document and Template is associated to an Editor Style that in turn defines the Edit Environment.
Sense's capabilities may be extended with Plugins the define new Editor Styles.
As support for Plugins, Sense includes an FTP Client.
Editor Plugins, such as the RSS Plugin, provides purpose-made GUIs' that integrate directly into Sense's Edit Environment.
A RTF Import/Export Plugin translates Paragraph and List Styles for close equivalence with Microsoft Word.
Full control is provided over File Encoding for Import / Export file type conversion.
