Defraggler is a small application that lets you perform a defragmenting task on a drive or specific files.
You should pay attention when installing this application. Since it is ad-supported, Defraggler offers to download and install the Google Toolbar.
The user interface is familiar - you view a list of all available drives, including the removable ones, as well as the fragmentation level of a volume in Drive Map (after performing an analysis) and information about a selected drive.
So, you can defrag a volume (normally or quickly), check a drive for errors and defrag free space (to optionally allow fragmentation). But you can also search for files or enable Boot Time Defrag (this option lets you defrag files that are normally locked by Windows before it fully loads).
Furthermore, the program allows you to schedule a defrag task (once or at a regular time interval) and it can be set to move large files to the end of the drive during the defragmentation of an entire volume.
The Quick Defrag feature can be configured when it comes to the size and fragments size of files, and you have the option of excluding specific files and folders.
In addition, if Shell Extension is enabled, you can easily use Defraggler on any file, via context menu, but you can also set the program to use more or less of your system resources, or shutdown the computer after it finishes a task.
