The Live SDK contains the Live Connect APIs, which provide programmatic access to Live web services with a set of libraries that enables your apps to work with data in over 500 million user accounts in Windows Live ID, SkyDrive, Hotmail, and Windows Live Messenger.
The Windows Live Software Development Kit (SDK) package includes OAUTH WRAP Handler to develop ASP.NET applications that interact with Windows Live.
What's New in This Release:
· Managed API (Windows 8 only): The Microsoft.Live.LiveAuthClient constructor now provides an overload that takes a string representing a redirect URI. This enables Metro style apps using C# to retrieve an authentication token for single sign-on scenarios.
· Windows Phone apps: Apps targeting Windows Phone 7.5 can use the AttachBackgroundRequest method, BackgroundDownload method, BackgroundDownloadCompleted event, BackgroundDownloadProgressChanged event, BackgroundUpload method, BackgroundUploadCompleted event, and BackgroundUploadProgressChanged event of the LiveConnectClient class to start file download and upload requests with SkyDrive—requests that should finish even if the app is suspended or quits (a feature also known as background transfer).
