DTK ANPR SDK is a tool built specifically for reading vehicle registration plates from images or video streams. This program comes in handy for all users who need to develop applications that use the Automatic Number Plate Recognition method for detecting and locating vehicle license plate numbers.
It packs a user-friendly interface, so it doesn’t take a lot of time to get used to working with this tool. DTK ANPR SDK can work with the following file formats: BMP, JPEG, PNG, and AVI. It also offers support for IP camera transfer protocols: HTTP and RTSP.
Unfortunately, you cannot drag and drop the items directly into the main window, so you should add them by using the built-in browse button. You can load a single image or an entire folder to the list.
It features a built-in video player that allows you to play the selected clip directly from the main window. You can only start or stop the current selection. The app is able to automatically detect and display the vehicle registration plates in a dedicated window, provided that you have uploaded a video and started playing it. The list with the detected plates cannot be exported to file.
There are several configuration settings included, and you can change the minimum and maximum number of pixels, country code, color scheme (black on white, or white on black), contrast level, mode (normal, night), deviation and rotation angle. The video settings can be configured by specifying the FPS.
In conclusion, DTK ANPR SDK proves to be a handy solution that can help you read vehicle registration plates from images or video streams quickly and easily.
