PatchWise Free 3.29 description
As the name of this program suggests, PatchWise Free allows programmers to generate patch files with updates for their existing software.
The interface of the tool is plain and simple to navigate through. For an easy-to-follow procedure you can use the wizard and follow several easy steps.
So, you can edit information when it comes to the project (app name and version, project description and comment, copyright notice mark) and author (name, email address, personal homepage).
Specifying paths to the original files, output location and modified files can be easily done with the help of the file browser. Plus, you can include files in the subfolders and attach those which exist only in the "Modified" folder.
In the following steps, you can edit or import documentation files (license agreement, user guide or "Readme" file), update the program language, style, icon and wizard image, as well as set external executable files and file parameters.
Advanced users can adjust the generation speed, disable turbo speed mode and specify the process priority level. Once all settings have been configured, you can either build an executable update program or generate a patch data package.
The application supports multiple skins and languages for the interface, has a good response time and contains user documentation. PatchWise Free didn't freeze, crash or pop up error dialogs throughout our testing. However, it has not been updated for a very long time.
