Still Capture Library is a collection of components for developers which enables them to add still capture functions for video recording devices such as webcams and DV camcorders.
The library is based on the DirectShow API but all the complexity is invisible to the developer.
The Still Capture library is composed of the include file (scapi.h), the library files (scapi32.lib and scapi64.lib) to link to your modules, the redistributable library (scapi32.dll and scapi64.dll), the sample source codes in C++, binaries and some test applications.
Even though the library is very small, it features all the functions needed to get the most out of the available webcams.

What's New in This Release:
· adds the Webcam Diagnostics tool to possibly help to identify some webcam issues.
· adds the stillcon.exe command-line tool to thoroughly test high-resolution still captures and make sure a webcam is fully compatible.
· adds functions StillCapEnableDeviceChangeNotifications, StillCapDeviceChange and StillCapGetDeviceIndex for Plug-and-Play support.
· adds functions StillCapGetDeviceCount and StillCapFindDevice for device management.
· adds functions StillCapPausePreview and StillCapIsPreviewPaused to control live preview.
· adds functions StillCapGetInputCount, StillCapGetInputName and StillCapSetInput to control device video inputs (if any).
· adds functions StillCapSaveBitmapToFile, StillCapCopyBitmapToClipboard and StillCapGetBitmapFromClipboard for bitmap management.
