Oracle Data Access Components provides high performance direct access to Oracle database server. ODAC is set of VCL native components for Delphi, C++ Builder, and Kylix.
Oracle Data Access Components supports many Oracle specific features and simplifies developing of client/ server applications.
With Net option ODAC works directly through TCP/IP and doesn't require Oracle's software on client side. ODAC can work in managed environment and support .NET Framework.
ODAC supports Oracle 10g, 9i, 8i, 8.0 and 7.3, including Personal Edition, and Oracle 8 Lite. Following development environments are supported by ODAC:
