SpyShelter Personal is a security program that protects your computer against malicious agents from the online environment, such as rookits, Trojans, keyloggers and other malware.
The interface of the application is based on a common window with a pretty intuitive layout. In the first tab you can vIew the protection status of the anti-keylogging, anti-screen capture, anti-Clipboard capture, anti-get text, system and anti-kernel mode logger.
SpyShelter Personal allows you to set up a personal set of rules from file, create an exclusion list for files and folders, as well as to locate all rules of a particular component.
But you may also create a list or restricted applications, folder with write access, file access violations and processes executed as restricted, as well as check out window log details.
From the Settings screen, you can switch to a different language and skin for the interface, make the app automatically run at system startup and integrate it into the system shell, select the security level (e.g. medium, high, allow Microsoft), specify the method of process termination (child processes or all instances), as well as check out a list of monitored actions, among others.
SpyShelter Personal runs on a moderate quantity of CPU and system memory, has a good response time to keyboard commands and mouse events, and worked smoothly during our testing, without hanging, crashing or displaying error notifications; we haven't experienced any problems. All in all, SpyShelter Personal is a good security program against malware, mainly oriented toward users with some experience in such tools.
