It’s always important to protect your files and folders, especially if you have a lot of sensitive information. AutoKrypt is a program that was designed to automatically encrypt or decrypt files and folders.
The app has a simple interface and a clean layout, making it easy to figure out by all users.
As mentioned, the program can encrypt and decrypt all sorts of files and folders. It can work with passwords, public and private keys, secret keys, OpenPGP passwords, as well as OpenPGP public and private keys.
The app has the ability perform multiple tasks. For instance, it can encrypt files or an entire folder and its subfolders. Also, the Key Store manager allows you to import or export keys for external use.
The app can append date and time stamps to the filenames for archive purposes and schedule various copy jobs by using wildcards.
The filename format may be adjusted as well by modifying several items. For instance, you can pick the date format sequence, the year format, the date time separator and components separator.
Log files can be created for each job. The way they are displayed can easily be modified through a simple interface.
All in all, AutoKrypt is a nice tool that can be quite useful to have installed on the computer. Less experienced users should find it easy to handle, thanks to the intuitive layout.
