This is the portable edition of ASTRA32 - a simple-to-use program that reveals technical information concerning your system. It targets all users who want to find out the inner workings of their computer.
Since installation is not a requirement, you can extract the program files to any location on the hard drive and run the executable file immediately.
As an alternative, you can store ASTRA32 on a USB flash drive or similar storage unit, and run it on any computer effortlessly.
What's more important is that Windows Registry does not get new entries, and files are not left behind on the hard drive after program removal.
The interface of the application is user-friendly. ASTRA32 displays numerous data on each key area of the system, such as the motherboard (e.g. system vendor, board model, chipset name and vendor), processor (e.g. CPU and cache), PCI/AGP devices, memory modules, USB devices, printers and the monitor.
It is possible to create reports of various formats, such as TXT, INI, HTML, XML and CSV for further evaluation, as well as to switch to a different language for the UI. Basically, ASTRA32 displays all the technical details you need to know about your computer's hardware and operating system.
The application requires a pretty low amount of CPU and system memory, has a good response time and includes user documentation. No error dialogs have been shown in our tests and the app did not hang or crash. Thanks to its intuitive layout, less skilled users can quickly find out how to work with ASTRA32.
