OpalCalc is a brand new type of calculator for the PC. As easy to use as Notepad or a word processor, OpalCalc allows natural language in the sum and multi-line support so you can go back and adjust your previous calculations on the fly.
For years, PC calculators have been trying to copy handheld calculators in both functionality and appearance. OpalCalc sets out to disregard previous conceptions, and instead we considered how a calculator should behave with a full keyboard in mind. The result is simplicity itself, but with almost spreadsheet-like capability.
OpalCalc features include percentages, currency conversion, custom functions/variables, excellent documentation, colour coding, lightweight size, configurable GUI, hundreds of measures and functions, and lots more. Give OpalCalc a try to fully assess its capabilities!
NOTE: The full version can be obtained with a donation of any amount.

What's New in This Release:
· The portable versions of OpalCalc wouldn't extract properly under certain programs. This should be fixed now.
· In version approx 1.30 and earlier, functions could use constants such as pi and global variables (providing they don't clash with the parameter variables). This functionality has now been restored for good.
· I removed the "Month/date" mode. You should now use the "Long date" mode (which includes the year, as well as month/date). This was due to potential ambiguity when calculating something "@15 Nov 2011", then: "ans - 1year".
· As well as the words 'Pi' and 'Tau', the symbols have also been added. See here and here for more info on Tau.
