NetBeans Portable is an application that was specially developed in order to make NetBeans IDE usable from a USB stick.
NetBeans IDE is a modular, standards-based integrated development environment (IDE), written in the Java programming language.
The NetBeans project consists of a full-featured open source IDE written in the Java programming language and a rich client application platform, which can be used as a generic framework to build any kind of application.

What's New in This Release:
· Makes NetBeans IDE 7.1.1 (http://netbeans.org) portable.
· Using PortableApps.com Platform is recommended.
· Supports Java SE development only for now.
· Java SE deleopment requires JDK. Please install a JDK locally on each machine or provide a JDK in the folder PortableApps/NetBeansPortable/App/jdk. For example you will find the JDK 1.7 Upd. 3 under C:Program FilesJavajdk1.7.0_03. Copy this folder completely to PortableApps/NetBeansPortable/App/jdk.
· JavaFX development requires JDK, JavaFX SDK and Runtime. Please install JavaFX locally on each machine. Providing JavaFX SDK/Runtime in a folder located on your USB device will not work for now.
