KeePass Password Safe is a small but useful program that helps you store all your passwords in a secured environment.
Since the tool is portable, installation is not necessary. You can simply put KeePass Password Safe on a removable drive and always have it with you when you're on the go. Also, your registry keys remain intact.
The interface of the program is plain and simple. You can create a new database by setting up a master password.
So, you can add a new entry, by selecting a group and icon, as well as adding the title, user name, password, URL, notes, expiration date and attachment. Plus, you can insert field references.
In addition, you can copy the user name or password, perform auto type, duplicate or edit an entry, use a search function (for the database or selected group), as well as rearrange the list, add a new group and subgroup (you can even choose an icon for it).
Furthermore, you can configure database settings when it comes to the encryption algorithm, number of key encryption rounds, default user name for new entries and database color.
Moreover, you can import and export information (e.g. CSV, TXT), lock the workspace, generate a random password (by using a character set or pattern), create TAN entries via a wizard, view expired entries, get plugins, change the interface language, and more.
The software takes up a low amount of system CPU and memory, and can guide you to a complete online help file with snapshots. We haven't come across any errors during our tests and strongly recommend KeePass Password Safe Portable to all users.
