UltraFileSearch Lite Portable is a tool that allows you to quickly locate files on your computer, in a simple manner.
Since installation is not required, you can place UltraFileSearch Lite Portable on a removable device (like a USB flash drive), plug it into any computer and directly run its executable file.
What's more important is the fact that your Windows registry keys will remain intact.
The interface of UltraFileSearch Lite Portable is based on a standard window in which you can initiate the scanning process by specifying the file name and starting folder.
But you can also enable the software to look in subfolders and hidden folders, to show file and folder names, as well as append results.
Furthermore, you can use wildcards, search for items that contain a particular text (words or phrase) and skip hidden and system files, images, audio and video files, as well as set specific time intervals (e.g. modified, creation, access) and size range.
Once results are displayed, you can check out the name, folder, size, extension, type and attributes, along with date of creation, modification and last access of each file.
Plus, you can export the list to a plain text document, create shortcuts, copy or move files to another folder, use a search function for the results, change the viewing mode, zoom in and out, reset columns to default, view a list of most recent used items, and more.
