Portable XYplorer is a powerful file managing system that can be used as an alternative to Windows Explorer.
Since this is a portable software, installation is not required. You can simply place Portable XYplorer on an external drive and run its executable file on any computer. Also, your Windows registry will not be affected.
The interface of the application is familiar to the one of Explorer, so navigating within it shouldn't be a problem to users of any level.
So, you can copy various elements to the clipboard (e.g. item base, compact file info, large icon, image, selected list row) and use special functions when renaming files (e.g. batch rename, search and replace, keep particular characters).
But you can also move, copy or backup files to a particular location, open an item with command-line arguments and paste special (e.g. image into new PNG file, text into new file).
In addition, you can locate files and repeat the last search, compare files (e.g. selected file with the one in clipboard), create new items, as well as manage and apply search templates.
Furthermore, you can view tabs and a mini tree, calculate folder sizes, go to the hotlist, create and manage a favorites list, add tags, run scripts, customize keyboard shortcuts, switch to dual pane mode, create new tabsets, and many others.
The file manager runs on a low amount of system resources, includes a comprehensive help file for beginners and has an excellent response time. We haven't come across any difficulties during our tests and highly recommend Portable XYplorer to all users, especially the experienced ones, since it comes with many advanced functions.

What's New in This Release:
Multilingual Support:
· XYplorer now supports interface languages other than English. Currently translations for French, Italian, Polish, and Portuguese are available. Languages can be loaded and changed on the fly without restarting the program.
Interface Translation Tool:
· You can easily edit a translation or create a new one yourself.
· Personal Annotations - A possible alternative use of the Interface Translation Tool is making personal annotations to any text bit in the whole XYplorer interface. If you want to make annotations to the original English version of the program, you first have to load a language file containing the untranslated English text bits. This file is called Reference_*.lng (* is the Language Support version number) and contained in this archive. Then you can edit the original texts and add helpful remarks. If your remarks are of general use you can share such an annotated language file with other users.
