File Joiner 2.1.3 description
File Joiner is a straightforward program which enables you to merge parts of a file (.001, .002 etc). It can be easily used by individuals of any experience level
This is a portable software, so installing File Joiner is not necessary. It means that you can place the tool on a removable device (like a USB flash drive), plug it into any computer and directly run its executable file. What's more important is that your Windows registry keys will remain unchanged.
The interface of the application is based on a standard window in which you can import files by using either the file browser, treeview or "drag and drop" method.
In the list you can check out the source path, size and status of each file. After you specify the output destination and filename, you can initiate the merging process.
Furthermore, you can enable File Joiner to append the file to the first item in the list, delete original parts, open the output files or folder and to exit the program after merging, as well as arrange items in the list.
In the "Settings" area you can specify tests (e.g. for missing parts on load, for parts size consistency) and the default output path, as well as enable the tool to sort items by using only the last number in the file path, disable auto load parts and to remember the window position, and others.
The simplistic program runs on a low amount of system resources, quickly finishes a task, can guide you to a comprehensive online help file with snapshots and video tutorials, and didn't cause us any difficulties during our tests. We highly recommend File Joiner to all users.
