Portable Mail PassView is a small password-recovery program which shows the passwords and other account details for the following email client software:
· Outlook Express
· Microsoft Outlook 2000 (POP3 and SMTP Accounts only)
· Microsoft Outlook 2010 / 2007 / 2003 / 2002 (POP3, IMAP, HTTP and SMTP Accounts)
· Windows Mail
·
Windows Live Mail

· Yahoo! Mail - If the password is saved in Yahoo! Messenger application.
· Hotmail/MSN mail - If the password is saved in MSN Messenger application.
· Gmail - If the password is saved by Gmail Notifier application, Google Desktop, or by Google Talk.
Portable Mail PassView is a standalone executable. It doesn't require any installation process or additional DLLs. Just unzip and run the executable (mailpv.exe) and watch the list of your email accounts. You can save the accounts information into a text file or copy them to the clipboard.
For each email account, the following fields are displayed:
· Account Name,
· Application,
· Email, Server,
· Server Type (POP3/IMAP/SMTP),
· User Name,
· Password.
Note: Some antivirus and antispyware programs flag Portable Mail PassView as being infected/malware, although the application is perfectly safe and does not pose a threat to your system. This is called a 'false positive'. The term false positive is used when antivirus software wrongly classifies an innocuous ( inoffensive ) file as a virus. The incorrect detection may be due to heuristics or to an incorrect virus signature in a database. [Similar problems can occur with antitrojan or antispyware software.]
