IZArc2Go is a freeware compression tool that works with the most popular archive formats on the market, while also providing an impressive pack of tools to help you handle all archives.
The application supports a lot of archive formats, as it follows: 7-ZIP, A, ACE, ARC, ARJ, BZ2, BH, CAB, DEB, GCA, GZ, GZA, JAR, LHA, LIB, LZH, MBF, PAK, PK3, RAR, RPM, TAR, TAZ, TBZ, TGZ, TZ, UUE, XXE, YZ1, Z, ZIP, ZOO.
Once you open an archive, you're allowed to extract files, scan for viruses, make an executable file or test it, while compressing files in a separate archive can be done easily thanks to the dedicated features placed right in the main window.
A very useful tool is the archive converter, which lets you convert archives from one format to another with ease. The output format can be any of the following: 7ZIP, TAR, ZIP, BZIP2, YZ1, CAB, BH and JAR.
Additionally, the application also boasts a separate utility to convert CD images to ISO format, regardless if we're talking about BIN, MDF, NRG or PDI files.
Last but not least, you can encrypt and decrypt files, repair a broken archive, create or merge a multi-volume set or simple search for files directly in archives.
Another good thing about IZArc2Go is the fact that it's fully portable, which means you don't even need to install the program, as it's enough to copy all files to a removable device and launch the app right from there.
Overall, IZArc2Go is a handy file compression tool that does its job and works well on all Windows versions. It doesn't feature shell integration, but it comes with support for a very wide array of formats.
