This is the portable version of EssentialPIM, an application that allows you to keep track of your schedule by providing you with some easy-to-use tools.
Since installation is not required, you can place EssentialPIM Portable on an external device (like a USB flash drive), plug it into any computer and directly run the executable file. More importantly, no changes are made to the Windows registry keys.
The interface of the application is plain and simple to navigate through. EssentialPIM Portable allows you to schedule appointments, create to-do lists and notes, as well as insert contacts and password entries.
In order to do so, you have to input a subject, location, start and due time, priority level, completion date, category and reminder. Additionally, you can easily locate and manage tasks with the help of a calendar, create sticky notes, as well as import and export data.
Furthermore, you can password-protect the app, manage databases, synchronize information and change interface language, as well as set EssentialPIM Portable to minimize to the system tray and to automatically run at system startup. Plus, you can allow multiple instances, enable automatic backup creation, configure keyboard shortcuts and lock the database when EssentialPIM Portable is minimized to the system tray.
The program requires a moderate amount of system resources, has a good response time and includes a help file. We have not encountered any difficulties throughout our testing; EssentialPIM Portable did not freeze, crash or pop up error dialogs. It can be handled by first-time and experienced users alike.
