VirtMus Portable was specially developed as an accessible and handy utility that enables users to display sheet music. The pages can be turned without the need to turn the page with the help of your hands.
This function of VirtMus Portable will come in very handy during concerts and practice sessions because it enables the musician to concentrate on performing the music without any interferences and interruptions.
The software also allows the users to store and organize their entire sheet music collection on a laptop, making it fully portable and available at a click of a button.
VirtMus Portable allows the user to create "songs" out of sheet music images obtained from a scanner, digital camera, or PDF, and "PlayLists" out of the "songs".
During a performance, the user can simply press a mouse button to move to the next / previous page or press various keyboard keys to advance the music.
What's New in This Release:
Features added:
· Better support for Windows 7
· When closing the application, the user now has the choice of saving some or all of the modified contents.
· PlayLists can now be tagged (from the "Properties" window)
· New toolbar button allows the user to quickly toggle the scrolling amount from 100% (a full page) to 50% (half a page at a time). This comes in handy when one image contains two music pages side-by-side (ex. when copied from a book). Toggling the scroll amount to 50% results in music pages being scrolled one at a time instead of two at a time.
· A secondary PDF renderer was added and is now being used for some types of PDF files that used to show gibberish with the original renderer.
Improvements or bugs fixed:
· Better handling when the music repository is moved to a different drive or different location on the same drive.
· Upgraded to NetBeans 7.1.2
· Upgraded some of the external libraries used by VirtMus
· Errors and notifications are now shown in the bottom right corner of the app...
