SecureCRT is a Windows terminal emulator that supports Secure Shell (SSH), Telnet, rlogin, serial, and TAPI protocols. SSH provides encrypted login, data transfer, and terminal sessions and is highly customizable and easy to use.
SecureCRT protects passwords, user accounts, and data, combining rock-solid terminal emulation with the strong encryption, broad authentication options, and data integrity of the Secure Shell (SSH) protocol.
SecureCRT provides versatile solutions for business, network management, information security, and development tasks, from accessing host-based applications and administering servers to securely accessing behind-the-firewall network resources.
SecureCRT supports SSH1, SSH2, Telnet, Telnet/SSL, RLogin, Serial, and TAPI protocols and authentication via password, public-key, X.509 certificates, and Kerberos v5 via GSSAPI. Ciphers include AES, Twofish, Blowfish, 3DES, and RC4. Emulations include VT100, VT102, VT220, ANSI, SCO ANSI, Wyse 50/60, Xterm, and Linux console - all with ANSI color.
Multibyte character sets are supported for Japanese, Korean, and Chinese, as are scalable line-drawing fonts. SecureCRT has a multi-session tabbed interface with extensive session management features. Customization options include toolbars, menus, keymaps, and login scripts, as well as fonts, cursors, and color schemes.
Named sessions and firewalls let you create session-specific configurations. An optional "FIPS Mode uses a FIPS 140-2 validated cryptographic library and only allows FIPS-approved algorithms. Other features include the Activator tray utility to minimize desktop clutter, auto logon, printing, Emacs mode, and SOCKS firewall support.
ActiveX scripting support saves time by automating routine configuration tasks. Securely transfer files using SFTP, or by using Zmodem or Xmodem from an SSH1 or SSH2 session. SecureCRT and the SecureFX file transfer client can share global and session options and the host key database so configuring a connection only needs to be done once.
Limitations:
· 30-day trial
· Nag screen
What's New in This Release:
Bug fixes:
· In the Connect dialog, if a folder was renamed to a string that ended in one or more "." characters, the sessions in the folder were deleted.
· Opening the default session in a script caused SecureCRT to crash.
· If the "Automate logon" items for a session were re-ordered, the changes were not saved.
· If "/Serial" or "/Tapi" (Windows only) was specified on the command line, it was not honored.
· If a session that contained ANSI color text in the scrollback was disconnected and reconnected, the ANSI color attributes were no longer in the scrollback.
· When enough tabs were open to require the scroll control on the tab bar, if the right-most tab was activated and renamed, the tab bar shifted to the left and the active tab was no longer visible.
· Serial: The stop bits were not logged correctly in the trace output.
· SSH1/SSH2: If a session used a dynamic tunnel on port 10080 and another SSH1/SSH2 session went through the first session's SOCKS proxy and used a dynamic tunnel on port 1080...
