Remote Utilities is a program designed to remotely administer computers over local area and wide area networks. You see the remote computer screen in a resizable window and can control the remote computer with your mouse and keyboard.
Remote Utilities (RUT) provides fast, safe and comfortable access to remote computers and supports LAN and WAN (Internet) connections. Besides mouse and keyboard control, RUT offers a number of other tools useful for a system administrator, for example, file transfer, a task manager, remote launch, capturing sound from the remote computer and much more.
Despite its multiple features, Remote Utilities uses minimum memory, saves CPU resources and can also be configured to run in low bandwidth networks (via EDGE, GPRS) due to its features of running in the so-called saving mode. All data sent over the network is compressed and encrypted.
Remote Utilities consists of two components:
· RUT-Server is the part that is installed on the remote computer (it is possible to install it remotely).
· RUT-Viewer is the part that is installed on the administrator's computer, you can use it to control remote computers.
With the help of Remote Utilities you'll be able to easily connect to remote workstations and fully manage them!

What's New in This Release:
· New! Added Active Directory tree browser. Now the RUT-Viewer address book window shows the actual Active Directory tree, and you can connect to any computer right away. You can use the default domain controller for the network where the RUT-Viewer machine is located, or you can specify a different domain controller using a special dialog window.
· New! Added different users with different permissions for a single RUT-Server. This feature is available for both the security system of Remote Utilities and WinNT security.
· New! Added an "Ask user permission" option in RUT-Server settings. If this option is set, a message is displayed to the remote user, allowing them to accept or decline a remote connection.
· New! Added the ability to launch and work when the remote computer is in Windows Safe Mode. The remote PC is available for remote connection after a reboot in Safe Mode.
