The ServerSentinel application was designed to be a network monitoring software. It enables the user to query parameters of distributed computing facilities and to measure latency times while performing service requests.
The collected data is logged into a relational database and can later be used to analyse system failures or utilisation shortages. The software consists of two components, a Windows Service which reads out parameters of the supervised endpoints and a graphical user interface that enables an operator to configure the system.
· Configurable monitoring of internet services: HTTP (webpages), ICMP (ping), DNS, SMTP, POP3 and IMAP
· Flexible monitoring of diskspace (local and remote via WMI)

· E-Mail notification and/or script execution in system critical situations
· Support for the Windows Management Instrumentation interface
· Easy-to-use graphical interface
Requirements:
· Microsoft .Net Framework 3.5
