SNMP Support:
· SNMP (Simple Network Management Protocol) is used to manage devices in IP networks. SNMP-enabled devices include routers, switchboards, servers, workstations, printers etc.
· Algorius Net Viewer supports SNMP versions 1, 2, 3. Both authorization and data encryption are supported for SNMP v.3. You can use MD5, SHA1 for authorization. For data encryption — DES, AES-128, AES-192, AES-256, Triple DES.
Please do the following in order to configure SNMP: open monitoring settings (F8), select 'SNMP Get' polling method or create new polling method based on 'SNMP Get' plugin:
'SNMP Get' scanning method:
· Specify SNMP version, supported by your devices, OID, Community, authorization parameters. If specified OID has numeric value then you can specify its ranges to set Active, Inactive or Warning statuses.
