The software has been designed as common product for security cross platforms running all together with wireless and wired Internet cameras, TV-cards, capture boards, power-line, and USB webcams. It has web interface with the equal appearance and functionality on the local and distant pcs. Users view MPEG-4 coded video and have full control of the software through network that security computer can be run without monitor, keyboard, and mouse connected. Software`s modular composition extensively increases reliability because all modules proceed as autonomous applications. If one component stops working, other units go on working. For example if the `record` component fails, `watchdog` starts over it instantly that users don`t notice anything because they are watching video via a `playback` module. The software makes `cyclic` recording that the `disk full` situation never occurs. The recording can be non-stop or it can be initiated by movement, human face recognition, or by schedule. The program has pre-alarm and post-alarm recording. Playing back recorded video is pretty simple and performs on the surveillance workstation as well as on remote server via Web interface. The software does simultaneous video playback for event examination from many webcams simultaneously. Also recorded information can be searched by date, time or by face detected. All recorded files can be encrypted and password protected.
