The software has been designed as general software for security hybrid platforms functioning simultaneously with wireless and wired Internet cameras, Television-cards, capture boards, power-line, and USB cameras. It has web interface with the similar form and controls on the local and remote workstations. Users watch MPEG coded picture and have complete control of the software using network that surveillance station can be run with no screen, keyboard, and mouse connected. Software`s modular composition extensively improves reliability because all modules work as independent software. If one unit fails, other parts go on working. For example if the `capture` part stops working, `watchdog` starts over it instantly that users don`t notice anything because they are watching picture through a `playback` unit. The program makes `repeated` recording that the `hard drive full` situation never happens. The recording can be non-stop or it can be triggered by motion, human face recognition, or by timetable. The software has pre-alarm and post-alarm recording. Playing back recorded video is pretty simple and performs on the surveillance pc as well as on distant computer using Web interface. The program makes synchronized video playback for event examination from multiple cameras simultaneously. Also recorded data can be searched by date, time or by face detected. All recorded data can be encrypted and password protected.
