Chainsaw is an easy to use application designed to be a mIRC replacement or just help you administrate a channel.
When running the application for the first time, you can select the roles you want for the bot. Depending on what you choose, the program enables more or less available commands.
Among the available roles you can find 'Administration', 'Dcc', 'Channel Management', User Management', as well as 'News', 'Vocabulary' or 'Fun'. Chainsaw allows you to enable or disable the modes from its main window too.
The program provides you with a tab-based interface, which makes it easy to use. It does not pose any problem, especially for those who are familiar with IRC applications and the specific commands. Nevertheless, even the beginner users can easily learn how to use this software, as a list of the basic, advanced and validated commands is available.
You are able to connect to different servers at once, thus you can create multiple bots and connect to different servers at the same time. In order to manage the channel better, the program can create a spam messages log.
The 'News' section allows you to select one of the available RSS feeds or websites that display the latest news regarding different subjects on the channel. Moreover, you can add new feeds if you want to and export the news content in OPML file format.
