SeaMonkey is an open-source cross-platform Internet suite, based on the same source code as its predecessor, Mozilla Application Suite. It includes a web browser, e-mail and news client, a HTML editor, and an IRC client.
As you have probably suspected by now, SeaMonkey's web browser interface is similar to the one of Firefox, with a few additional features.
In the Window menu you can instantly access the browser (SeaMonkey Navigator), mail and groups (shares code with Mozilla Thunderbird), HTML editor (SeaMonkey Composer), address book and IRC chat (ChatZilla).
You can create multiple profiles, a new e-mail account, write a new message, open a new composer page in which you can write HTML code, enable SeaMonkey to find links or text as you type, or switch to full screen mode.
In addition, you can encode characters, change the SeaMonkey theme, access browsing history, translate the whole content of a page, manage cookies, images, popups, data, passwords, downloads and add-ons, set up sync, and access web development tools (Error Console, DOM Inspector, JavaScript Debugger).
The mail supports multiple accounts, junk detection, an address book, message filters, while the Composer features four tabs - normal, HTML tags, HTML code and browser preview.
SeaMonkey uses a high amount of CPU and memory resources, but this is expected to some extent. It has a well-organized online documentation file, and its response time is very good. There are also many add-ons you can choose from, so you can fully customize SeaMonkey's functionality. Too bad mouse gestures are not available, but we still recommend you try this application.

· Website storage mechanisms are now available in the Data Manager (localStorage, indexedDB, etc.) (Bug 588415).
· "Open Containing Folder" is now already available during download (Bug 497379).
Fixes:
· The new mail alert has been disabled for now due to issues on Mac (Bug 840474).
· The Geolocation prompt does not offer an action in Private Browsing mode anymore if the action remembers permission for more than a session (Bug 870728).
· A slightly less useless access key has been chosen for the new Error Console Filter textbox label (Bug 860851).
