As the name of this piece of software implies, Efficient Sticky Notes allows you to create digital sticky notes which you can read directly from the desktop. This way, you can organize your schedule quickly.
The interface of the program is plain and simple to navigate through. So, you can create a new desktop note and configure several settings, such as changing the background color or font.
Plus, you can adjust the transparency level and hide the note on the desktop, as well as set Efficient Sticky Notes to automatically set the window size, stay on top of other applications and to use the gradient background.
In the main application window you can view a list of all desktop notes, namely their content, date of creation and last modification.
Customization options for the viewing mode revolve around the icon, attachment, importance, show on desktop, content, categories, creation time and last time of modification. Sticky notes can be sorted according to one of these fields.
Additionally, you can password-protect Efficient Sticky Notes, backup and restore data, change the interface style, add attachments and file links, as well as make the app automatically run at system startup, among others.
The program runs on a low amount of system resources, has a good response time and contains a help file for all user levels. We have not encountered any problems during our tests; Efficient Sticky Notes did not freeze, crash or pop up error dialogs.
What's New in This Release:
· Changed data file format to Firebird.
· Added Network Edition.
· Attachments are now saved directly in the same data file where other data records are saved. (In previous versions, attachments were saved in a separate folder.)
· You can set categories for sticky notes, and can search for records by category.
· Added a "Category" column in the information list view.
· When a new desktop note is added, now the software will position it automatically to avoid overlapping between notes wherever possible.
· A "Privacy" option was added which allows you to set the number of recent files and to clear text records you have entered.
· When the software runs at Windows startup automatically, the user can choose to allow the software to remember the file password, if this has not been done yet, to avoid entering password each time.
· Other improvements are made and bugs are fixed.
