ViewNX 2.7.6 description
In order to view the images or videos created by digital cameras, you need a program that supports their specific formats. ViewNX is an application that allows you to transfer multimedia files shot with a Nikon digital camera to the computer, view and edit them.
The program displays a user friendly interface that includes separate panes for file browsing and picture viewing. Among the supported formats you can find NEF, TIFF (RGB) and JPEG, movies (AVI, MOV format), WAV and NDF.
ViewNX includes a transfer feature designed to help you safely copy the pictures on your camera to your PC. The application provides you with multiple methods for viewing pictures. Furthermore, with the help of this software, you are able to organize them into favorite folders, assign labels and ratings as well as filter and rotate them.
But these are not all the editing features, as you have other tools at your disposal to enhance your picture. For example, you can modify the exposure, the white balance, the sharpness, contrast, brightness and so on.
Among other tools, ViewNX makes available red eye removal, cropping tool and a picture control utility, all of them designed to help improve your photos.
With the help of the Nikon Movie Editor, included in ViewNX, you can modify your movie files or create new ones out of pictures and videos. A newly created slideshow uses custom transition methods and can play a background music file.
One interesting feature of this program is the possibility to view the shooting location using GPS data, if the camera supports such feature. In addition to this, you can also protect your pictures or convert them to other formats. Moreover, ViewNX can access the default email program and attach the selected photos, thus enabling you to easily send them to your friends.
ViewNX is a full-featured digital photo viewer that offers you powerful editing features, while also allowing you to easily organize, convert and publish your picture slideshows.

· Information for lenses used with the Auto Distortion function under File & Camera Information in the Metadata palette has been updated.
· The destination for the link when the NIKON IMAGE SPACE website is opened from the NIKON IMAGE SPACE area in the Browser palette has been updated from my Picturetown to NIKON IMAGE SPACE.
