PTGui Pro 9.1.8 description
PTGui Pro is a piece of software that allows you to create panoramic pictures from multiple images. It is designed while keeping the advanced user in mind.
The app is wrapped in a user-friendly interface. So, you can load images into the file list by using the file browser and edit EXIF information, such as the lens type, focal length, crop factor and wide angle.
The file queue displays the thumbnail, location and size for each item. You can arrange them in any way that you want to fit the panorama.
An important feature of PTGui Pro lets you hide unwanted parts of the pictures by coloring them red, as well as emphasize other parts by making them green.
Skilled users are free to tinker with the lens settings when it comes to the horizontal field of view, correction parameters, image shift and shear, as well as individual parameters for each entry. Furthermore, you can crop pictures, match points on two overlapping pictures, and correct the HDR and exposure parameters.
But you can also make PTGui Pro optimize the project, straighten and fit the panorama, choose a suitable projection mode, set the output to the maximum size and perform automatic exposure and color adjustment. The panorama can be previewed before exported to a file (JPG, TIFF, PSD, PSB, MOV).
The software program runs on a moderate-to-high amount of CPU and system memory, supports keyboard shortcuts and contains user documentation. We have not come across any issues during our tests; PTGui Pro did not freeze, crash or pop up error dialogs. Inexperienced users need some time to comprehend the app's features.
Limitations:
· Stitched panoramas will have a visible watermark
· Projects cannot be saved or exported
· The Panorama Tools stitcher and optimizer are not supported (only the built-in PTGui stitcher and optimizer)
What's New in This Release:
· Fix: GPSImageDirection EXIF tag in stitched output had the wrong data type. This caused it to be not recognized by some applications.
· Fix: in the panorama editor the checkerboard pattern could be visible at the right hand side of the panorama.
