i.Scribe is a remarkably compact email program with an easy to use interface and many features, including a split view of folders and items, signatures, drag and drop, spell checking as well as an internal address book and calendar.
i.Scribe is a small and fast email client that lets you send, receive and manage email without fuss. The user interface is familiar and easy to use. The major internet protocols for email are supported: POP3, [E]SMTP, MIME, IMAP4 (fetch only), MAPI (fetch, win32) and viewing of HTML mail. Also included is an integrated Contact database and Calendar.
Additional features include plug-in support, proxy support, ESMTP authentication, message templates and more. A very capable little email program with a ton of features. To further extend the functionality, i.Scribe also supports plug-ins. Supports POP3, IMAP and SMTP.
Limitations:
· Free version is limited to 1 email account and 5 user-defined filters.
What's New in This Release:
· Fixed a crash in the code that generates new mail growl notifications.
· Fixed an email losing it's body and attachments if you copy it from a mail3 folder to an IMAP folder.
· Fixed the SSL IMAP account not recovering from losing it's connection. This would happen say, when you put the computer to sleep and then wake it up again. Scribe was going into a 100% CPU loop and never attempt to reconnect. The UI however stayed responsive and you could quit the app, it was just the IMAP thread getting stuck.
· The mail's window closes when you open an email, then switch back to the main window and delete that email.
· Fixed an issue when creating a new IMAP folder and not being able to list email in that new folder without a restart.
· Fixed a display issue where an email with multiple HTML parts would show only some of the HTML.
