NXPowerLite is a program which enables you to reduce the size of files, such as documents, images, spreadsheets and presentations. It can be particularly useful if you have large amount of data on your disk that takes up too much space.
The interface of the application is plain and uncomplicated. Importing items into the file list can be done by using either the file browser, tree view or 'drag and drop' method. Working with multiple entries at the same time is possible.
The file queue displays the source path and size for each item. So, you can make NXPowerLite optimize files for the screen, printing, mobile devices or custom. The latter option allows you to specify the new image resolution for Microsoft Office, PDF and JPEG items (optionally adjust the JPEG quality).
Furthermore, you can allow image cropping, specify a file renaming rule, as well as set the tool to delete private application data and to preserve the original file's date and time.
The program runs on a very low amount of CPU and system memory, has a good response time, includes a help file, quickly finishes a task, and delivers very good results regarding the file size. No error dialogs have popped up during our testing and NXPowerLite did not freeze, crash or pop up error dialogs. All in all, NXPowerLite is an excellent tool for reducing file sizes.
