Jarte 5.0 description
Jarte is a small software that supports multiple tabs and comes packed with the necessary and suffice elements for word processing.
When opening the program, the first thing you'll probably notice is the slightly unusual interface. But Jarte actually has a standard layout which is wrapped in a modern look.
The tool supports RTF, TXT, DOC and DOCX file formats and can save files with the RTF, DOC or TXT extension.
But you can also save documents as template files, as well as export them to PDF or HTML.
So, you can use basic tools such as undo, redo, cut, copy and paste, as well as a search and replace function.
In addition, you can perform a spell check and configure its options (e.g. enable auto correct, ignore words in uppercase or HTML tags), sort words alphabetically and change their case.
Furthermore, you can use a dictionary and thesaurus, view document counts (pages, lines, words, characters), manage tabs, split the view, zoom in and out, as well as insert items (e.g. date and time, picture, hyperlink, picture, table, special character, equation).
Moreover, you can create and organize a favorites list, change fonts and add mark them as favorites, set the line spacing, paragraph alignments and styles, take a snapshot, change the interface layout, manage tabs, and much more.
The word processor uses low-to-moderate system resources and can guide you to a complete online help page with snapshots. We haven't found any errors during our tests.
In conclusion, Jarte is an excellent word processor and manages to set itself apart from similar software. We highly recommend it to all users.
What's New in This Release:
· Windows 8: Jarte is now optimized for touch screen use. This includes the ability to scroll documents with finger swipes, zoom using the pinch gesture, and position the text cursor with your finger.
· Jarte provides a new page view mode that displays the left and right page margins as well as the paper width in the editing pane. Page view mode is activated by default if Word Wrap is set to Wrap to Page. The new page view mode can be disabled by using advanced setting Page View.
· The spell check dictionary choice is now assigned to each individual document, rather than being a global setting (although you can still designate the default spell check dictionary to be used for new documents). This is useful for people who regularly edit documents of different languages.
· Jarte Plus: Project files can now be used to automatically open hyperlinks to PDF documents and web pages, not just files.
· The tabs bar now automatically abbreviates the file name captions in the tabs as necessary in ord...
